MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Marinette County on Tuesday arrested a 25-year-old man who was allegedly trying to meet a 13-year-old girl.
According to a release, the Marinette Police Department responded shortly before 1 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2024, to a report of a group confronting an adult male near Shore Drive and Parnell Street.

After arriving at the scene, law enforcement learned that the incident involved an adult allegedly attempting to meet with a 13-year-old.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old man from Marinette was arrested and taken to the Marinette County Jail on felony charges related to using a computerized device to solicit child sex crimes.

The name of the suspect is being withheld pending formal charges from the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
