MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 20-year-old from California was arrested in southern Wisconsin after allegedly breaking into a stranger’s home.
According to the Madison Police Department, on November 16 around 2:45 a.m., officers were sent to a residence for a report of a break-in. The resident reportedly called the police after hearing someone break his back door.
The suspect then went upstairs before he was confronted by the resident. Police say the suspect left the area before police arrived.
He was later found nearby, according to police. The release says the man was intoxicated and told authorities he was visiting from out of state and was trying to find a relative.
The suspect was identified as a 20-year-old from California, and he was arrested on multiple charges.
