The Latest from Storm Team 5…
After some snow blanketed parts of the area yesterday morning, the weather today will be nice and quiet out there. However, since temperatures have dropped below freezing overnight, a few slippery spots could have developed due to refreezing, so keep that in mind this morning.
Otherwise, sunshine mixing with some fair weather afternoon clouds. Most will stay dry, but cant rule out a passing flurry or two since the air is cold a few thousand feet above the ground. Highs today, will be driven by our sunshine, getting back closer to average in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Tonight, it will be another cold night with mostly clear skies and light winds, temperatures fall into the teens and 20s once again.
Tomorrow, a weak trough will pass to our north, bringing in some added cloud coverage with some very hit or miss light precipitation. Highs do get even warmer, into the middle and upper 40s, possible closing in on 50.
Thursday, easily will be the best day of the work week, as highs climb into the 50s for most under a mixture of sun and clouds. Enjoy it because the weather will change into the weekend with a messy icy mix moving in.
Likely starts out a bit scattered/ on and off Friday into Saturday, with Sunday being the day where it looks to be more widespread. South of Green Bay, this will likely stay all rain, north of there is where some frozen precipitation is possible, leading to some icy spots. However, Sunday night into early Monday, some light snow is possible. Keep tabs on this one.
