RIPON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac County have provided an update regarding the dead body discovered beside a vehicle in a ditch on Monday morning.
According to the updated release, the death is being classified as a medical incident unrelated to the vehicle leaving the roadway and entering the ditch.
No foul play is suspected, and the incident remains under investigation.
Dead body found in Fond du Lac County, death investigation underway

RIPON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac County say a dead body was found outside a vehicle on Monday morning and a death investigation is underway.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, on March 24 around 6:55 a.m., a deputy was sent to a report of a car in the ditch near STH 23 and Willow Road. When the deputy got to the scene a vehicle was seen in the ditch next to a driveway of a residence.
The vehicle reportedly was determined to belong to the owner of the residence. The owner of the vehicle was found dead outside the car.

Authorities say it is working with the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner to determine the circumstances and cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional information was provided.
