From Storm Team 5…
One day away from the biggest event in northeast Wisconsin’s history, so here is a look at what to expect from the time the draft footprint opens to the public through the end of the day.
Scattered showers will open up our Thursday, but the trend is for these showers to diminish throughout the morning, so there is a small chance of showers as the draft area opens at 12 p.m. on Thursday. Plan to have a article of clothing that has a hood ready, but most of the day will be dry.
For the remainder of the afternoon, skies should stay partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s for most, cooler lakeside in the middle 50s.
So when the first round of the draft begins at 7 p.m., expect mostly cloudy conditions with a small chance for a passing sprinkle in the Titletown district. Temperatures should hold in the low 50s so sweatshirt weather it is! Better rain chance will occur further N/W of Green Bay. Now assuming the Packers keep their 23rd overall pick (which should occur at roughly around 10pm), temperatures should hover around 50 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.
Looking ahead, day 2 will start out with widespread morning showers that should wrap up during the early afternoon. You’ll will notice a chill in the air though with highs only in the lower 50s. The best day of the draft will without a doubt be Saturday, so near prefect weather for the Brad Paisley concert.
